Mel Armstrong Lead. 30-55 Mel Shrader is a recovering drug addict who has lived most of his life on the fringes of his hometown of Webster Lake, Indiana. Mel has been saved by Herbert Freehand, the minister that eventually grows his congregation into a cult. Mel becomes his closest and most loyal follower.
